Kathmandu, September 7, 2025 – A nationwide protest led by Gen Z activists is set to take place on Monday, September 8, demanding accountability and transparency from Nepal’s political elites.

The movement has gained momentum through the viral “Nepo Kid” campaign, which exposed the lavish lifestyles of politicians’ children in contrast to the struggles faced by ordinary youth. The campaign sparked widespread outrage, mobilizing demonstrations in Kathmandu and other major cities.

In Kathmandu, protesters will gather at 9:00 AM in front of the Parliament House in New Baneshwor. Key government locations, including Baluwatar, Singha Durbar, and Sital Niwas, are expected to be targeted to amplify the movement’s message.

Organizers urge participants to remain peaceful and vigilant, emphasizing the importance of expressing their demands without disrupting public safety.
